HISTORY
Rae’s life was not an interesting one; she lived with her parents as an only child – her parents were a higher middle-class family, not rich, but not just middle-class.
When Rae was 4 she started dancing. It’s her passion, and she hopes to include it in her career. Rae has become amazing at dancing, and the thirteen years she has dancing is definitely the main reason.
She was a more popular student at school, but not one of the “In” crowd. People knew her, and she had friends, but she wasn’t one of those snobby bitches that giggle about jokes on sex and drugs.

Music floated around the dark dance floor, lit with bright neon lights. The other people there quieted for a moment, remembering the few beginning notes to the song the DJ was playing now before erupting in cheers. The floor began to sway and slide as everyone that stood there began to dance. This was about the time Rae came in, pushing through the heavy, solid doors to the pounding party, the music so loud it filled her ears, to the point that it was all Rae could hear. As if Rae could want to hear anything else. With her reason to have come to the club simple and so easily done, Rae was more interested in dancing to the deafening Lady Gaga that was playing over the stereos than trying to talk to someone – which was pointless anyway, since she couldn’t hear her own thoughts.
Rae didn’t like the fact it was so crowded that night, though. The dance floor looked utterly packed, and the last thing Rae wanted was not be in a dance club and not be able to dance – specifically when dancing was what she had come here for, her entire body itching to move. Rae, in a dance club, unable to dance, was torment, like dangling a fish just above water. Just out of reach, just unable to touch it… torment. Rae shouldered her way through the crowd, her blue gaze transfixed on an empty spot on the dance floor. She pushed forward to that spot, where she could fit comfortably into the crowd without feeling claustrophobic. Getting to that spot was like breathing after being throttled – which it exactly was. Finally, Rae could breathe, for the first time since she had set foot on the dance floor.
After a split second Rae had gotten the feel of the song playing – Poker Face by Lady Gaga – and got the melodic release she had been craving. Sort of like a cocaine addict smoking after two days, the rush that Rae would imagine they got from it. Poker Face was nearing the last notes of the song, and a noticeable amount of the dancers around her were relaxing until the song was finished and the next song began. The song still has some time to it… Rae thought, in the few moments that she wasn’t focusing on the song and dance. Rae didn’t want to know what time it was – a few people were beginning to leave – and Rae hoped that it wasn’t going to be late soon. Rae knew the night was early, but time flew fast when she was having fun. The night was young – though aging fast – and Rae had those fleeting hours to dance enough that she didn’t feel like she was being strangled again.
